>> THANK YOU. BOARD WILL NOW MOVE TO AGENDA ITEM 6, ITEMS 6D AND E, DR. FIORI.

>> THANK YOU, DR. FORD. GOOD EVENING TO DR. WALDRIP, MADAM PRESIDENT, AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
I HAVE THE HONOR TO RECOGNIZE TWO OF OUR CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS AND THEIR RESULTS ON THEIR NATIONAL COMPETITIONS.
FIRST, I WOULD LIKE TO RECOGNIZE DECA AND I WOULD LIKE TO ASK ALL THE DECA STUDENTS AND ADVISORS THAT ARE PRESENT THIS EVENING TO COME TO THE STAGE.
NOW, AS THEY'RE COMING UP, I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THAT FOR FISD, WE HAD APPROXIMATELY 230 STUDENTS COMPETING IN EVENTS, AND OF THOSE, 49 STUDENTS EITHER RANKED AS A FINALIST OR IN THE TOP THREE OF THEIR CATEGORIES, BRINGING HOME DECA GLASS.
I THINK THAT IT DESERVES AN APPLAUSE.
[APPLAUSE] SO THE COUNTLESS TIME AND HOURS THAT HAS GONE INTO THESE CTSOS, BECAUSE I HAD A OPPORTUNITY TO BE AT THE DECA NATIONAL COMPETITION WITH THESE INDIVIDUALS AND THESE SPONSORS, I WANT TO SAY FIRST IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY, THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS FOR YOUR TIME AND DEDICATION TO GIVING UP TIME AND YOUR PERSONAL LIFE TO SPEND TIME, COACH THESE STUDENTS, MAKE SURE THAT THEY STAY OUT OF TROUBLE AND ON TASK WHILE THEY'RE AT THESE COMPETITIONS.

[APPLAUSE] I WOULD LIKE TO ALSO HIGHLIGHT AND INTRODUCE TO YOU THE NEWLY APPOINTED NATIONAL PRESIDENT FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION OF DECA, OUR VERY OWN WAKELAND STUDENT, SARAH SONNY.
[APPLAUSE] OBTAINING THIS EXECUTIVE OFFICE TITLE WITHIN DECA IS THE FIRST FOR FRISCO ISD AND ONE OF ONLY A HANDFUL FOR THE STATE OF TEXAS.
HISTORICALLY, I THINK WE'VE ONLY HAD TWO, AND YOU'RE ONE OF TWO.
SHE'S ALSO BEEN ACCEPTED TO FLORIDA GULF COAST UNIVERSITY, WHERE SHE WILL BE PURSUING A NEUROLOGICAL PASS AND ACCELERATED MD PROGRAM WITH A GUARANTEED ACCEPTANCE TO POSTGRADUATE MEDICAL SCHOOL.
SARAH, CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ON YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
[APPLAUSE] AT THIS TIME, IF THERE ARE ANY PARENTS OF ANY OF THE STUDENTS ON THE STAGE, WOULD YOU PLEASE STAND TO BE RECOGNIZED.
>> NOW, AT THIS TIME I WOULD LIKE TO INVITE ANY BPA STUDENTS AND SPONSORS TO THE STAGE.

YOU PROBABLY HEAR THAT ACRONYM BPA, BUT THAT'S WHAT IT ACTUALLY STANDS FOR.
>> COME ON UP. I KNOW IT'S SUMMER, AND A LOT OF THE KIDS ARE ALREADY OUT, BUT I JUST WANT TO GIVE A COUPLE OF CELEBRATIONS FOR OUR BPA, AND THEN I WANT TO CELEBRATE ONE SPECIAL INDIVIDUAL THAT'S ON THE STAGE RIGHT NOW.

I WAS ALSO ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE BPA CONFERENCE TO SUPPORT HER AND THE STUDENTS THERE.
WHEN I TELL YOU THAT THIS IS A ROCK STAR, SHE WAS THE GO TO PERSON FOR THE STATE OF TEXAS AND FOR ALL OF THE NATIONAL CONVENTION.
I FELT JUST HONORED JUST WORKING WITH HER.
I JUST STOOD BY HER AND THEY WOULD ASK ME QUESTIONS JUST TO ASK HER.
I WAS THE MAN NEXT TO THE WOMAN.
GOOD JOB FOR ALL YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, FOR BPA, AND FOR YOUR CAMPUS.
>> THANK YOU. BOARD, WE ARE GOING TO MOVE RIGHT ALONG TO AGENDA ITEM 7, WHICH IS INVOCATION. MR. HILL?
>> PLEASE BOW YOUR HEADS. HEAVILY, FATHER, WE ASK THAT YOU ALLOW US TO BE A SOURCE OF HOPE IN THE COMMUNITY.
PLEASE GIVE US YOUR WISDOM AND PATIENCE AS WE MAKE DECISIONS THAT AFFECT THE LIVES OF CHILDREN, EDUCATORS, AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGHOUT THIS GREAT DISTRICT.
WE THANK YOU FOR THE DAILY BLESSINGS GIVEN TO EACH OF US.
WE THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING KEITH AND SHERRY TO JOIN US IN SERVING THIS EXCEPTIONAL COMMUNITY.
WE PRAY THAT YOU KEEP OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF ALL SAFE.
WE ALSO PRAY FOR THE SAFETY FOR ALL THOSE THAT PROTECT AND SERVE OUR SCHOOLS EVERY DAY.
HELP US TO ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF NEIGHBORS, FAMILIES, AND FRIENDS, AND MAY EACH OF US FULFILL OUR RESPONSIBILITIES WITH CARE, EMPATHY, AND GRATITUDE.
WE ASK THESE THINGS IN YOUR NAME. AMEN.
>> THANK YOU, MR. HILL. BOARD, WE'RE GOING TO MOVE TO AGENDA ITEM 8, WHICH IS BOARD REPORT.
ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING? MR. HILL?
>> WELL, THE MOST OBVIOUS THING IS GRADUATIONS.
HAD THE LUXURY OF ATTENDING EIGHT OR NINE OUT OF THE 12 GRADUATIONS. I WISH I COULD HAVE MADE THEM ALL.
I WILL GIVE MAJOR KUDOS TO PRESIDENT DAVIS AND SUPERINTENDENT WALDROP, WHO, I BELIEVE ATTENDED EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM.
KUDOS TO ALL OF OUR EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS.
I'VE HAD A LOT OF GOOD EXPERIENCES IN MY ONE YEAR ON THIS DISTRICT, AND THAT'S PRETTY TOUGH TO BE, AND IT WAS JUST GREAT SEEING THE JOY IN THEIR EYES AND JUST THE EXPERIENCE IS JUST ONE THAT IS HARD TO FORGET.
IT MAKES A LOT OF THIS WORTH IT, A LOT OF THE ADMINISTRATION ALL THE WAY DOWN TO CAMPUS PRINCIPALS AND EDUCATORS AND PUT A LOT OF WORK INTO THAT, AND I THANK YOU.
I THINK YOU ALL DID A WONDERFUL JOB.
>> OUR SROS AS WELL, THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH.
I THINK YOU ALL DID A WONDERFUL JOB AT THE GRADUATIONS AND CONGRATS TO ALL THE KIDDOS. THANK YOU.
>> THANK YOU. [APPLAUSE] JUST BECAUSE HE ALMOST FORGOT YOU, MR. SRO, HE OWES YOU PIZZA.
BOARD, WE'RE GOING TO MOVE TO AGENDA ITEM 9, DISCUSSION REGARDING AN INTERNAL AUDIT DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY. MR. GROVER.
>> I ALWAYS HAVE TO MOVE THE MICROPHONE DOWN.
I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE ON INTERNAL AUDIT ACTIVITY FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER OF THIS YEAR.
THIS SLIDE JUST SHOWS HOW WE'RE PROGRESSING TO THE PLAN.
WE COMPLETED TWO AUDITS, THIS QUARTER, WHICH ARE PUBLIC INFORMATION ACT AND ALSO PIEMS. TWO AUDITS IN PROGRESS, OUR HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL WHICH WE HAVE A DRAFT REPORT OUT RIGHT NOW ON THAT ONE, AND FACILITY RENTAL, WHICH WE ARE GETTING INTO THE FIELDWORK STAGE AS WE SPEAK.
YOU ALSO HAVE COPIES OF THE TWO AUDITS WE COMPLETED IN YOUR MATERIALS THIS EVENING AND YOU RECEIVED IT DURING THE QUARTER.
THIS SLIDE SHOWS HOW WE'RE FOLLOWING UP ON RECOMMENDATIONS, AND YOU CAN SEE THE HIGH PERCENTAGES THERE, SO THAT'S A GOOD INDICATION THAT THEY'RE ACCEPTING OUR RECOMMENDATIONS AND IMPLEMENTING THOSE.
THIS NEXT SLIDE JUST SHOWS A LITTLE MORE DETAIL ABOUT WHICH AUDITS ARE RELATED TO WHICH OUTSTANDING RECOMMENDATIONS.
LIGHTHOUSE ACTIVITY, WE HAD 14 ITEMS COME THROUGH, TWO SUBSTANTIATED, SEVEN UNSUBSTANTIATED, AND FIVE ARE CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW.
[00:25:02]
THAT CONCLUDES MY NORMAL UPDATE.I DO HAVE ONE MORE SLIDE RELATED TO THE ORGANIZATIONAL INDEPENDENCE OF THE INTERNAL AUDIT DEPARTMENT.
THE STANDARDS IN OUR CFC LOCAL REQUIRE THAT THE CHIEF AUDIT EXECUTIVE MUST CONFIRM TO THE BOARD AT LEAST ANNUALLY, THE ORGANIZATIONAL INDEPENDENCE OF THE INTERNAL AUDIT ACTIVITY.
THE INTERNAL AUDIT ACTIVITY MUST BE FREE FROM INTERFERENCE IN DETERMINING SCOPE OF INTERNAL AUDITING, PERFORMING WORK, AND COMMUNICATING RESULTS.
YOU HAVE A LETTER IN YOUR MATERIALS TONIGHT FROM ME, CONFIRMING THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE INTERNAL AUDIT ACTIVITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR '24, WHICH TRANSLATES INTO, WE HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH ANYBODY FROM ADMINISTRATION OR ANYBODY FROM ANYWHERE DETERMINING OUR SCOPES OR PERFORMING WORK OR COMMUNICATING RESULTS.
BOARD, ARE THERE ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS AT THIS TIME? MRS. [INAUDIBLE]
>> I HAVE A COMMENT, ANOTHER QUESTION.
I JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU, ANDREW AND ALSO DANA FOR ALL OF YOUR WORK THIS YEAR.
THIS IS MY SECOND YEAR ON THE AUDIT COMMITTEE, AND I WAS CHAIR THIS YEAR, AND I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT FOR NOT ONLY THE BOARD TO HAVE A REMINDER,
[7. Invocation]
BUT ALSO THE COMMUNITY ABOUT HOW FORTUNATE WE ARE THAT WE HAVE AN AUDIT FUNCTION HERE IN FRISCO ISD.I TALKED TO TRUSTEES, ESPECIALLY THIS PAST YEAR, I HAD QUITE A NUMBER OF TRUSTEES REACH OUT TO ME ASKING ABOUT OUR AUDIT COMMITTEE AND HOW IT WORKS AND OUR AUDITORS AND HOW THAT WORKS, AND WHEN YOU'RE A DISTRICT THAT DOESN'T HAVE AUDITORS, IT'S HARDER TO LOOK INTO THINGS, YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE BOARD VOTE TO DO A SPECIFIC AUDIT AT A SPECIFIC TIME FOR THAT SPECIFIC THING.
THE WAY THAT WE DO IT HERE JUST FOR THOSE THAT AREN'T AWARE IS THE AUDIT COMMITTEE WORKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH YOU TO HELP DETERMINE WHAT THINGS ARE AUDITED IN ADDITION TO THE SUPERINTENDENT AND THE ISD, THEY'LL BRING STUFF AS WELL.
I THINK IT JUST REALLY HELPS US TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THAT TRANSPARENCY FOR THE COMMUNITY.
I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU BOTH FOR YOUR WORK, BUT ALSO JUST REMIND EVERYONE HOW FORTUNATE WE ARE THAT WE HAVE THIS FUNCTION HERE IN THIS DISTRICT BECAUSE IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
>> YES, IT DOES. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT ALL THE BOARD MEMBERS. THANK YOU.
[8. Board Report]
>> THANK YOU SO MUCH. BOARD, WE'RE GOING TO MOVE TO AGENDA ITEM 10, COMMUNICATION 2 AND FROM THE BOARD, INCLUDING PUBLIC COMMENTS. MR. PENANGI?
>> WE NOW MOVE TO THE PUBLIC COMMENT SESSION OF OUR AGENDA.
THE BOARD WELCOMES COMMENTS REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS FROM INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE COMPLETED PUBLIC COMMENT FORMS THIS EVENING, WHICH ARE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF THE OPEN MEETING AND ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE TO OTHER SPEAKERS.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE INFORMATION SHARED IN PUBLIC COMMENT IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OF THE INFORMATION SHARED BY THE PRESENTER AND SOLELY PROVIDES THE OPINION OF THE INDIVIDUAL SPEAKER, NOT THE DISTRICT.
DURING THE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD, COMMENTS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ONLY, NOT OTHER ATTENDEES AND ONLY MADE ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED UPON TO SPEAK.
TO ENSURE THAT ALL SPEAKERS ARE TREATED EQUALLY AND HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME, THE PODIUM MICROPHONE WILL BE TURNED OFF AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE TIME OFF FOR EVERY SPEAKER.
PLEASE KEEP ALL PUBLIC COMMENTS RELATED TO DISTRICT BUSINESS AND GOVERNANCE.
IF YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC CONCERN RELATED TO AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DISTRICT OR A SPECIFIC STUDENT ISSUE, YOU SHOULD UTILIZE THE DISTRICT'S GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES PROVIDED IN THE DISTRICT AND BOARD POLICIES, DGBA LOCAL, F&G LOCAL, AND GF LOCAL.
EACH GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE ALLOWS FOR AN INDIVIDUAL TO REDRESS GRIEVANCES WITH THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
[9. Discussion regarding update on Internal Audit Department Activity]
FIVE OR MORE INDIVIDUALS THAT WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK ON THE SAME TOPIC, YOU MAY CHOOSE TO APPOINT AN INDIVIDUAL TO SPEAK ON BEHALF OF THE GROUP.PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE BOARD MAY NOT DISCUSS OR ACT UPON ANY ISSUES THAT ARE NOT PROPERLY POSTED ON THE AGENDA.
IF YOU WISH TO PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT ON AN ITEM NOT ON THE MEETING'S AGENDA, PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE NEXT COMMUNITY INPUT MEETING, WHICH IS ON SEPTEMBER 30TH AT 6:30 PM.
THE FIRST PORTION OF OUR PUBLIC COMMENT SESSION IS STAKEHOLDER TESTIMONY, WHEN THE BOARD WILL HEAR FROM PARENTS OF FRISCO ISD STUDENTS, FRISCO ISD EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS, AND OTHER FRISCO ISD RESIDENTS.
ALL INDIVIDUALS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A FULL NAME AND HOME ADDRESS WHEN SIGNING UP TO SPEAK.
IF WE WERE UNABLE TO VERIFY AN INDIVIDUAL STATUS AS STAKEHOLDER, BASED ON THE INFORMATION PROVIDED, THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE CALLED UPON TO SPEAK DURING THE PUBLIC TESTIMONY.
EACH STAKEHOLDER SHALL HAVE THREE MINUTES TO ADDRESS
[00:30:03]
THE BOARD REGARDING ITEMS ON THE AGENDA FOR THIS MEETING.STAKEHOLDERS WILL BE CALLED IN THE ORDER IN WHICH EACH INDIVIDUAL HAS SIGNED UP TO SPEAK.
TODAY, WE DO NOT HAVE ANY SPEAKERS WHO ARE NOT FROM THE FRISCO ISD.
>> THANK YOU. MR. PENANGI AND BOARD, WE DO HAVE ONE SPEAKER THAT IS A NON-PARENT RESIDENT OF FRISCO ISD, AND SO IF WE CAN HAVE MR. PAUL JASON, COME DOWN.
>> READINGS TO THE BOARD, SUPERINTENDENT, THE SROS. QUITE A DAY.
I'M FOCUSING ON A PHRASE THAT WAS USED THIS AFTERNOON ON EQUITABLE SUPPORT.
IT IS A MASSIVE UNDERTAKING AND RESPONSIBILITY THAT ALL OF YOU HAVE RUNNING A DISTRICT THIS LARGE AND EVERY ONCE A WHILE THINGS CAN FALL THROUGH THE CRACKS.
I WAS REALLY HAPPY ABOUT THAT TERM THAT I HEARD THIS AFTERNOON IN THE MEETING BECAUSE OF THE SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAM THAT PRESENTED THEMSELVES HERE, AND WHAT HAPPENED? WE QUALIFIED FOR STATE, BUT THERE WAS NO MONEY FOR IT.
I THOUGHT, WOW, EQUITABLE SUPPORT.
I'M HAPPY FOR THEM BECAUSE THAT MEANS THESE SPEECH AND DEBATE TOURNAMENT PEOPLE THAT GOT LEFT OUT THIS LAST YEAR ARE GOING TO GET EQUITABLE ATTENTION, JUST LIKE THE TENNIS PEOPLE AND THE OTHER PEOPLE.
AS THEY DO THEIR HARD WORK IN THE SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAMS, THEY TOO WILL NOW BE ABLE TO GO FORWARD AND BRING MORE OF THE GLORY TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT FROM THE SKILLS THAT THEY HAVE.
THEN THE OTHER THING I WANTED TO COMMENT ON WAS THE, WHAT WAS MY OTHER COMMENT? I CAN'T REMEMBER.
I'M JUST HAPPY THAT YOU GUYS HAVE DONE THE EQUITABLE THING AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD, I KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING TO SAY.
WHEN I DID JUDGING AT SOME OF THOSE SPEECH AND DEBATE TOURNAMENTS THAT WERE HELD HERE IN FRISCO, WHERE ARE THE FRISCO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS? NOW I'M BEGINNING TO UNDERSTAND THAT I THINK THEY FELL THROUGH THE CRACKS.
I'M LOOKING FORWARD THIS YEAR TO SEEING THE HAPPY FACES OF THESE SPEECH AND DEBATE PEOPLE BEING ABLE TO DO THAT, STAND ON THIS STAGE, AND GIVE GLORY TO THE DISTRICT.
>> THANK YOU. BOARD, WE'RE NOW GOING TO MOVE TO AGENDA ITEM 11B, WHERE WE'LL CONSIDER AN ACT ON APPROVAL OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2025 INTERNATIONAL AUDIT PLAN.
I'LL LOOK FOR YOU HAVE A PRESENTATION. MR. GROVER.
[10. Communication to and from the Board including public comments]
>> CFC LOCAL REQUIRES THAT AN ANNUAL RISK ASSESSMENT BE CONDUCTED UTILIZING RISK-BASED METHODOLOGY TO IDENTIFY AUDIBLE AREAS WITHIN THE DISTRICT.
IT ALSO REQUIRES THAT THE ANNUAL INTERNAL AUDIT PLAN BE DEVELOPED BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THAT RISK ASSESSMENT.
WE'VE DONE THAT WORK AND WE'VE MET WITH THE AUDIT COMMITTEE LAST MONTH TO DISCUSS THE DETAILS ON THAT AND DEVELOP A PROPOSED AUDIT PLAN, THAT IS FOR YOUR REVIEW AND APPROVAL TONIGHT.
I WANT TO SHOW THIS SLIDE HERE THAT TALKS ABOUT THE TIMELINE FOR HOW WE STARTED OFF AND TO BASICALLY THE RISK ASSESSMENT AUDIT PLAN CYCLE.
WE START OFF WITH REVIEWING AUDIT AREAS OF THE DISTRICT AND REVIEW RISK RATINGS, SOLICIT INPUT FROM IST.
THEN LAST MONTH, WE PRESENTED THAT TO THE AUDIT COMMITTEE.
THEY WERE GOOD WITH OUR PROPOSAL, AND WITH THAT, WE'RE MOVING FORWARD TO THIS BEING A FULL BOARD APPROVAL.
WE'RE AT THE GOLD DOT, AND THAT'S APPROVED, AND WE'RE OFTEN RUNNING WITH OUR FISCAL YEAR 2025 INTERNAL AUDIT PLAN.
WITH THAT, I GIVE IT TO YOU FOR YOUR APPROVAL.
BOARD, I WILL LOOK FOR A MOTION.
>> I MOVE TO ACT ON APPROVAL OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2025 INTERNAL AUDIT PLAN.
>> MOTION BY MS. SALAS, SECOND BY MR. PONANGI.
BOARD, ARE THERE ANY QUESTIONS? IF THERE ARE NONE, I'LL LOOK FOR A VOTE.
BOARD, I NEED TO MOVE BACK UP TO ACTION ITEM 11A, CONSIDER AND ACT ON APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE MAY 13TH REGULAR MEETING,
[00:35:03]
MAY 15TH SPECIAL MEETING, AND MAY 28TH SPECIAL MEETING.BY THE WAY, THANK YOU, MR. GROVER, FOR BEING HERE WITH US TONIGHT. I'LL LOOK FOR A MOTION.
>> I MOVE THAT WE APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE MAY 13TH REGULAR MEETING.
>> MOTION BY MR. LOWE, SECOND BY MR. HILL.
BOARD, ARE THERE ANY QUESTIONS AT THIS TIME? IF THERE ARE NONE, I'LL LOOK FOR A VOTE.
BOARD, WE'RE MOVING TO ACTION ITEM 11C.
CONSIDER AN ACT ON THE NOMINATIONS FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEE OFFICER POSITIONS.
AFTER DELIBERATION, THE BOARD HAS DETERMINED THAT ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION WILL BE NECESSARY PRIOR TO VOTING ON NOMINATIONS FOR PARLIAMENTARIAN ROLE.
WE WILL DO SO DURING OUR AUGUST MEETING AS A RESULT IN THE FURTHER DELIBERATION.
AGAIN, WE WILL ENSURE THAT WE VOTE FOR OUR PARLIAMENTARIAN IN THE AUGUST MEETING.
AT THIS TIME, WE WILL ENTERTAIN NOMINATIONS FOR THE BOARD OFFICER POSITIONS OF PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT, AND SECRETARY UNDER BOARD AGENDA ITEM C. I'LL OPEN THE FLOOR FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE PRESIDENT.
>> I'D LIKE TO NOMINATE DYNETTE DAVIS FOR THE PRESIDENT'S ROLE.
BOARD, ARE THERE ANY QUESTIONS AT THIS TIME? IF THERE ARE NONE, I'LL LOOK FOR A VOTE.
I DO LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUING TO SERVE AS PRESIDENT OF FRISCO ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
[APPLAUSE] BOARD, I WOULD LIKE TO CONSIDER NOMINATION FOR VICE PRESIDENT.
>> I WILL NOMINATE MR. GOPAL PONANGI FOR VICE PRESIDENT.
[11.B. Consider and act on approval of the fiscal year 2025 Internal Audit Plan]
HOW CAN I GET USED TO SAY YOUR NAME, MR. MADDOX? IF THERE ARE NO QUESTIONS AT THIS TIME, I'LL LOOK FOR A VOTE.>> MS. DAVIS, IF YOU ALL CAN VOTE WITH YOUR HANDS ON THIS ONE, ONLY PUT ONE VOTE FOR THAT.
YOU'LL HAVE TO DO IT THE OLD FASHION WAY.
>> VOTE WITH YOUR HAND RIGHT NOW.
>> WE'RE TAKING IT BACK TO THE OLD SCHOOL.
>> ALL IN FAVOR? I USED TO DO THIS TOO BACK AND FORTH.
>> THANKS, TEAM, FOR THE CONFIDENCE.
LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT YEAR.
>> FINALLY, I WILL LOOK FOR A MOTION FOR BOARD SECRETARY.
>> LIKE TO NOMINATE MARK HILL FOR SECRETARY'S ROLE.
SECOND BY MR. MADDOX. ALL IN FAVOR? DID YOU VOTE FOR YOURSELF? MOTION PASSES 7,0.
MR. CONGRATULATIONS, MR. HILL.
[APPLAUSE] I THINK I NEED TO GO BACK AND RECONSIDER THE ACTION ITEM 11A BECAUSE THE MOTION ONLY INCLUDED MAY 13TH MINUTES.
I THOUGHT I SAID THE SPECIAL MEETINGS, BUT JUST IN CASE, I WOULD LIKE TO CONSIDER AND ACT ON APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE MAY 13TH REGULAR MEETING, MAY 15TH SPECIAL MEETING, AND MAY 28TH SPECIAL MEETING, LOOK FOR A MOTION.
>> PERSON WHO MADE THE MOTION THE FIRST TIME SKIPPED SOME STUFF.

FRISCO ISD PROMOTES A COMMUNITY-WIDE CULTURE OF RESPECT THAT ENSURES POSITIVE INTERACTIONS AND BEHAVIORS WITHIN THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.
FRISCO ISD FOSTERS EXCELLENCE AND STUDENT GROWTH THROUGH DIFFERENTIATED RELEVANT LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND VARIED STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES.
