AND WE WILL BEGIN WITH OUR ONLY AGENDA.

ITEM NUMBER ONE COMMUNICATION TO AND FROM THE BOARD, INCLUDING PUBLIC COMMENTS.

THANK YOU. THE BOARD WELCOMES COMMENTS REGARDING ANY ITEM RELATED TO DISTRICT, BUSINESS OR GOVERNANCE FROM CITIZENS WHO HAVE COMPLETED PUBLIC COMMENT CARDS THIS EVENING, WHICH ARE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF THE MEETING AND ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE TO OTHER SPEAKERS.

EACH SPEAKER SHALL HAVE THREE MINUTES TO ADDRESS THE BOARD REGARDING ITEMS RELATED TO DISTRICT, BUSINESS OR GOVERNANCE.

SPEAKERS WILL BE CALLED IN THE ORDER IN WHICH EACH INDIVIDUAL SIGNED UP TO SPEAK.

IF YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC CONCERN RELATED TO AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DISTRICT OR A SPECIFIC STUDENT ISSUE, YOU SHOULD UTILIZE THE DISTRICT'S GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES PROVIDED IN BOARD POLICIES DBA LOCAL, F AND G, LOCAL AND GF LOCAL.

EACH GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE ALLOWS FOR AN INDIVIDUAL TO REDRESS GRIEVANCES WITH THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

ADDITIONALLY, IF THERE ARE FIVE OR MORE INDIVIDUALS THAT WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK ON THE SAME TOPIC, YOU MAY CHOOSE TO APPOINT AN INDIVIDUAL TO SPEAK ON BEHALF OF THE GROUP.

HELLO EVERYONE! MY NAME IS [INAUDIBLE] AND THIS IS MY FRIEND SAI AND WE ARE BOTH SOPHOMORES AT INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL.

WE ARE HERE TODAY TO PRESENT OUR IDEA, WHICH IS A TOURING PLATFORM THAT CONNECTS HIGH SCHOOLERS WITH YOUNGER STUDENTS WHO WANT WHO ARE IN THE SAME SCHOOL SCHOOL DISTRICT.

WE WERE MOTIVATED TO CREATE THIS IDEA WHEN WE WERE APPROACHED BY A PARENT OF A YOUNGER STUDENT WHO WANTED US TO HELP TEACH THEIR SON TENNIS.

THIS LED US TO THINK, WHY COULDN'T THERE BE A PLATFORM THAT CONNECTS EXPERIENCED JUNIORS AND SENIORS TO YOUNGER STUDENTS WHO WANT TO LEARN? THE PROBLEM THAT WE FOUND WAS THAT MANY STUDENTS HAVE DIFFICULTIES IN ACCESSING TUTORS, AND THAT ARE OFTEN TOO EXPENSIVE.

OUR PLATFORM ENABLES STUDENTS TO GET TUTORING FOR A LOW PRICE AND HIGH ACCESSIBILITY.

MOVING ON. WE HAVE TWO MAIN USERS FOR THIS PLATFORM, THE FIRST BEING TUTORS, WHO ARE SPECIFICALLY JUNIORS AND SENIORS THAT WANT TO TEACH THEIR SERVICES FOR A LOW COST, LIKE VOLUNTEERED SERVICE OR A PAID SERVICE.

SECONDLY, WE HAVE YOUNGER STUDENTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO LEARN THE DIFFERENT SKILL SETS FROM THE EXPERIENCED HIGH SCHOOLERS.

MOVING ON. WE BELIEVE THERE ARE TWO MAJOR BENEFITS OF OUR IDEA.

THE FIRST BEING IT HELPS ECONOMICALLY CHALLENGED KIDS GET TUTORING SERVICES FOR DISCOUNTED OR A FREE COST.

ADDITIONALLY, IT HELPS JUNIORS AND SENIORS CONNECT WITH THEIR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS DEVELOP ESSENTIAL SKILLS WHICH THEY MIGHT NEED IN THE FUTURE.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WE WOULD LIKE TO SHOW A QUICK DEMONSTRATION OF OUR PLATFORM.

SO FIRSTLY, THIS IS FROM THE USER'S PERSPECTIVE WHICH IS GOING TO BE A STUDENT.

THEY CAN FIRST ENTER THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD AND LOGIN.

CAN YOU STEP UP RIGHT HERE? THANK YOU. ONCE YOU HAVE LOGGED IN, THEY CAN PICK WHAT TYPES OF DIFFERENT IDEAS AND SKILLS THAT THEY LIKE TO LEARN.

FOR EXAMPLE, IF THEY WANT TO LEARN SOCIAL STUDIES, THEY CAN CLICK ON THE THING AND THEY CAN SEE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TUTORS THAT ARE AVAILABLE.

THEY CAN ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO INFORMATION LIKE THE TUTORS NAME, WHAT SCHOOL THEY GO TO, AND DIFFERENT RECOMMENDATIONS FROM TEACHERS.

ONCE THEY LIKE THE TUTOR THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO GO AHEAD WITH, THEY CAN CLICK ON THE TUTOR AND SEE THE DIFFERENT TIMES THAT THEY'RE AVAILABLE, AND BOOK A TIME THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO, CREATE THEIR, LEARN THEIR SKILL FROM.

OUR GOAL TODAY IS TO GET FIX HELP FOR A WAY TO VALIDATE THAT THE JUNIORS AND SENIORS WHO ENROLL AS TUTORS ARE STILL CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A HIGH SCHOOL.

ADDITIONALLY, WE MAY NEED HELP TO ADVERTISE OUR PLATFORM ACROSS ALL SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES IN THE DISTRICT.

WHEN COVID CLOSED THE FRISCO ISD SCHOOLS, I HOMESCHOOLED MY GRANDCHILD AND IMPLEMENTED THE ON SCHOOL CURRICULUM PROGRAM PROVIDED BY THE FRISCO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

I DAILY COMMUNICATED WITH THE SCHOOL, THE TEACHERS, AND CLASSMATES.

ONLINE COMMUNICATION WAS A VERY IMPORTANT PART IN THE EDUCATION AND THE WELL-BEING OF MY GRANDCHILD.

THIS SCHOOL YEAR 2023 TO 2024.

MY ABILITY TO SUPPORT MY GRANDCHILD IN HER LEARNING, SUCCESS AND MEETING HER NEEDS HAS BEEN RESTRICTED AND BLOCKED.

I CANNOT RECEIVE.

THE SCHOOL. WEEKLY NEWS EMAIL ARE THE GRADE LEVEL EMAIL, WHICH CONTAINS THE WEEKLY CURRICULUM, OBJECTIVES AND GOALS IN EACH SUBJECT, AND THE WEEKLY SPELLING LIST.

HOW IS THIS A PRIVILEGE? OUR CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.

THE TEACHERS WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF MY EMAILS THAT ARE SENT.

I WAS TOLD THAT THEY CANNOT EVEN SPEAK TO ME.

I CAN'T EVEN GET A DISMISSAL CARD NUMBER TAG TO PICK UP MY GRANDCHILD AFTER SCHOOL.

CAREGIVERS WANT TO SUPPORT THE EDUCATION AND NEEDS OF THEIR STUDENTS.

THIS SHOULD BE A BENEFIT TO THE EDUCATION OF STUDENTS AND THE SCHOOLS AS WELL.

WHY RESTRICT THE FREE SUPPORT BY LIMITING THE RIGHTS OF CAREGIVERS TO SUPPORT AND HELP STUDENTS? THIS RESTRICTION LIMITS THE ABILITY TO HELP EDUCATE AND MEET THE NEEDS OF THE FUTURE AMERICAN LEADERS OF OUR SOCIETY. THANK YOU.
